How is my methodology
TEACHING ADAPTED TO THE PREFERENCES OF EACH STUDENT
1 - Why do you want to learn this instrument?
In the first class I talk to my students to understand their expectations about the instrument (leisure, academic training, playing a certain song, reaching a certain level, etc.)
We are a family owned and operated business.
2 - What kind of music do you listen to and would like to play?
I ask my students to tell me a little about what they hear on a daily basis and what they would like to play with the instrument. What styles, artists and songs he likes the most and whether these are the songs that the student listens to in his daily life.
We are a family owned and operated business.
3 - Distribution and application of practical content.
Knowing the student's particularities, the contents are organized in stages that will facilitate the student's learning until developing all the necessary skills to have the desired fluency.

4 - Study routine.
For the student to have a development proportional to the volume of content passed, each class or group of classes, exercises are given that should be practiced at home between one week and another. Students who do not have the instrument for practice can also evolve, however, the pace tends to be slower, as contact and "perspiration with the instrument are essential for evolution.

5 - Redirection
If the student has a very high difficulty in some proposed content, there are always other ways of training and understanding that will be used in an attempt to overcome the obstacle, including the momentary change of subject.

ESSENTIAL MATTERS
SCALES - from the simplest to the most exotic, the scales are essential contents for the melodic knowledge of the instrument and technical evolution.

CHORDS - assembling triadic chords, tetrads and chords with varying tensions is a knowledge that governs much of the theoretical reasoning behind any song.

REPERTOIRE (MUSIC) - I seek to direct the student's learning so that he obtains sufficient skills to play songs of his preference or songs that will integrate a set of songs necessary to form a repertoire desired by him or the need he seeks to supply.
ARPEJOS - Knowing the intersection between the melodic and harmonic parts is one of the ways I consider most effective to take advantage of all the technical knowledge of the student in a musical way.

NOTIONS OF THEORY - I seek to teach the main theoretical resources so that the student can register and reproduce musical ideas, regardless of style.

RHYTHM - musical performance depends on various aspects such as harmony, melody, pitch, intensity and rhythm. It is often necessary to even focus only on the rhythm before playing specific contents on the instrument.

MOTOR COORDINATION - through frequent targeted training, it is possible to develop muscle memory, which will make each learned topic a facilitator for the next topic.
TECHNIQUE - agility and precision are the result of any type of practice, but there are specific trainings that I try to use to develop skills where the student may have difficulties.
